Tamwood Careers, Vancouver, British Columbia
Tamwood International has successfully registered with the British Columbia government a new career college based in Vancouver that will provide vocational training to international students who want to develop work readiness skills. In August 2014, Tamwood Careers will open its doors with a coop education program called "Communication for the International Workplace".
Students in this program will be allowed to work part-time from day one of the course, which means they can finance their stay while studying as well as work full time during their practicum term. This new work permission means college students can earn money to support themselves during their studies. Students at designated vocational colleges can also obtain for a work permit to do a coop education program.
