Homestay
Live with a Canadian family in a private home, with a welcoming, healthy and caring environment. Learn more about the local culture and make lasting friendships. TVDSB has great families. Host families provide a comfortable, private and furnished room along with three nutritious meals every day.
Using an in-depth application process, students are matched with a suitable host family to meet their interests and needs.

Our Programs
As a public education provider, we offer a full range of programs and services to learners across Thames Valley. We take considerable pride in the achievement of our students. Thames Valley graduates are consistently among the top entrants to college and university programs.
Students have access to the latest technology through a strong commitment to an annual investment in hardware, software and staff training and we are committed to providing a safe learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
We welcome international students (students who pay tuition fees) to our school board. They may be elementary or secondary school age students. We offer competitive tuition fee rates. Language support is offered in all elementary schools. Three secondary schools in London offer full ESL programs. ESL is available in some areas outside of London
English as a Second Language (ESL) / English Language Support
Provides maximum opportunities for English language learners to become proficient in English and be academically successful. Credit courses in this program are designed for students whose first language is not English and who have ageappropriate literacy and language skills in their first language. After an English language proficiency assessment, students are provided with the appropriate level of language instruction.
There are five ESL credit courses as well as a full range of compulsory subjects offered with language support. Qualified ESL teachers use effective teaching methods. University and college preparation courses take place in an integrated classroom with Canadian students.
