The SCDSB is committed to ensuring that students reach their full potential and become responsible and contributing members of an ever-changing global society. The SCDSB focuses on providing quality programs which develop the skills of lifelong-learning in a safe, caring environment. International students will have a positive “once in a lifetime” cultural experience and come away with the knowledge, confidence and motivation required to excel in a global society.

SCDSB has over 15 years of experience in International Education. We have developed a strong International Student Program team, including a program coordinator, administrative and support staff, guidance counsellors, teachers and ESL instructors.  Each member of the team is dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment in which both international students and SCDSB students are able to interact and thrive.

Some of our international students attend a SCDSB high school for either one or two semesters, while others graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and continue their education at colleges and universities, both in Canada and in their home countries. There are currently 12 high schools participating in the SCDSB International Student Program.
