Study with the Canadian Language Centre

Our courses follow the international standard levels established by the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and the European Council. The Common European Framework (CEF) is the document used to describe the performance of learners of foreign languages in Europe. Its main objective is to provide a method of assessment and instruction that applies to all languages of the European Community. Thus, their six reference levels have become widely accepted as a way of benchmarking language ability all over the world.

CLC’s General English classes meet five days a week, for a total of 30 hours each week (full-time program). Students work with at least two different teachers each month (one for the morning class and one or more for the afternoon classes) using the most up-to-date and innovative technology, course books, and materials available.

Our morning integrated skill program provides training in all languages skills based on a communicative methodology. The program takes a comprehensive approach to learning practical English with an emphasis on speaking, pronunciation, writing, reading, and listening skills. The aim of the morning program is to improve your overall language skills, recognizing the strong link between knowledge of grammar and oral communication skills.
