Tamwood English Preparation for Canadian Ski/ Snowboard Instructor Certification
Do you dream of becoming a ski/snowboard instructor in Canada? We can help improve your English skills to make this dream possible. This Tamwood English Language School preparation program is focused on improving your English language skills for teaching and is designed to prepare you for the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance Level 1 exam or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors Level 1 exam. You are expected to have high or intermediate or advanced ski/snowboard abilities prior to enrolling for this course. Passing the exam means you will be qualified to teach skiing or snowboarding anywhere in Canada and in many countries around the world.
Students who take this program get an internationally recognized certification to teach skiing or snowboarding which means they can work as a ski/snowboard instructor in Canada, Europe, South America, Australia.
Whistler is the largest ski resort in North America, and was a host venue for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, making it a great study location in the winter for your clients who enjoy winter activities. During the winter, students at Tamwood Whistler can also participate in other activities such as snowshoeing, tobogganing, dog sledding, zip trekking and more! Whistler Blackcomb is set to open to the public by the third weekend of November!

Available in the winter season 2020-2021 and takes 3 weeks, the lesson length is 50 minutes

Certificate awarded upon successful completion of studies
* students will take a written and speaking test on their first day for proper placement in classes
English Course
Basic 15 (15 lessons per week). Ideal for students who want to learn all the essential English language skills while have even more time to ski and/or snowboard, every day.
Seminars
Students in this program also take special afternoon seminars on the mountain or in the classroom to teach the specialized English vocabulary needed for work as a ski or snowboard instructor
Essential English Skills Class (Offered at levels 2-7)
Master the basics. In this class you will learn and practice all the skills you need to understand and communicate in English including listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, vocabulary, idioms and grammar. You will also learn the common phrases and expressions that native speakers use.
