Sprott Shaw Language College invites you to join our Global Leaders 2022 Summer Program and take part in an experience you will never forget. Take the opportunity to stay with us in residence at the world-renown University of British Columbia, where you and your newly formed friends from around the world will study English together, develop leadership skills together and go on adventures together. What is the Sprott Shaw Language College Global Leaders Summer Camp in Vancouver?
Global Leaders in Vancouver is a program designed specifically with the student in mind. Beginning in the classroom, more advanced students will work on developing valuable life skills, such as leadership development, goal-setting and English proficiency, while other students will work on developing their English skills. In the afternoons, students will take part in exciting activities and field trips and join either our Athletic or Artistic club. On the weekends, the fun and adventures continue with full-day activities on both Saturdays and Sundays. A great experience awaits everyone who participates!
What do you get?
- 12 - 15 hours of English classes per week (No Classes on Rocky Week) plus 9 hours of English Clubs per week (No Clubs on Rocky Week)
- Fun & experienced SSLC staff for activities & outings; 4 Outings per week (2 Weekday, 2 Weekend) and Evening and weekend games, activities & competitions.
- A safe & comfortable learning environment
- 4 day / 3 night Rocky Mountain tour
- Completion of English Studies, Global Leadership Certificate, Community Service Certificate and Official TOEFL® Jr Test & Score (Teen Program Only)

The program takes place on the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus grounds & classrooms July 3 - August 13, 2022
Located just outside Vancouver, the University of British Columbia is one of Canada’s most famous and recognized universities. Students participating in the Global Leaders program will be studying on campus and living in residence at UBC. In addition to the classrooms and dorms, the vast University grounds has so much to offer our Global Leaders students that they will always be busy doing something.
You will be accommodated in UBC Campus – Vancouver, British Columbia Residence Totem Park Residence (University of British Columbia)
Facilities:
- Single and double occupancy rooms available with twin bed, desk, chair, bookshelves and lamp with 24 hour front desk and security service and three nutritious meals a day at the university cafeteria, Lounge with TV and snack kitchen and Laundry facilities
- Wired (Ethernet) Internet access ( 1-time charge) and Wireless Internet access available in the Commons Room
- Outdoor tennis and basketball courts
Evenings & Extra Activities
Each evening students will have the chance to participate in different, fun activities. These activities include games, challenge nights, talent shows, dance parties, and more. Furthermore, every graduation night, a few lucky students who demonstrate leadership skills throughout the program will get a chance to for vie for the specialprizes that will be available.
