British Columbia K12 International Student Homestay Guidelines

Last week, the British Columbia (Canada) Ministry of Education released the updated BC K-12 International Student Homestay Guidelines.

This document was compiled by a group of K-12 school district, independent school and Ministry of Education representatives, and is a result of the hard work developed between October 2014 and June 2015. It provides international students and their parents with some guidelines to help them understand how k-12 homestays operates in BC.

The purpose of the BC K-12 International Student Homestay Guidelines is to provide consistent, province-wide best practice standards for BC’s K-12 homestay sector. The Guidelines were developed between October 2014 and June 2015 by a working group comprised of K-12 school district, independent school and Ministry of Education representatives.
