Whistler Adventure School Mountain Sport Technician Diploma

Whistler feels almost normal! The Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park is open, restaurants are open and tourists are starting to visit our resort town!

We've heard from many of our students (and potential students!) that they'd love to hear more from our students currently enrolled. So here it is! Below we have a Q & A from Grant, who is taking the Mountain Sport Technician Diploma.

WAS: What made you choose the MST program and WAS?
Grant: "The variety of classes that touched not only on mountain biking but also the snowboard and ski industry really made me want to go for the MST program. I chose WAS because I had tried traditional college and it wasn't for me so I saw the opportunity to study and learn what I truly love!"

WAS: What course or courses have been your favourite so far?
Grant: "I'd have to say my favourite course so far was thebike mechanic course because after riding and racing for 11 years (half my life) it gave me the confidence to go for a bike mechanic job which I now have at the most rad bike shop ever, Evolution Whistler in the village!

WAS: Do you have any hints or suggestions for new or potential students?
Grant: My advice or hints I would give future students, would be to fill out an application and just go for it! I applied because I didn't like my full time job at the time and really didn't expect to get in. After a 48 hour drive across the country and many, many, good times, I can safely say this is the happiest I've ever been in my life.

"Don't let anything or anyone stop you from pursuing your dreams and who you want to be!"
